New logo, new products!
Well, we’ve been busy these last few weeks! The most exciting news is that Blueberry Bee Boutique has a brand‑new logo. I really did love my original one — I made it myself in Cricut Design Space — but while visiting a local honey production business, I noticed they were using the exact same bee I had in mine. So… time for a change.
I already knew what I wanted: a simple, single‑line bee drawing that I could eventually digitize and stitch onto my bags. The only problem? I have absolutely zero drawing skills. None. I can follow a pattern and make all sorts of things, but drawing something from my imagination and having it look even remotely like what I pictured is just not one of my talents.
Luckily, a friend of mine has a cousin who’s an artist — and even better, she had some free time and was happy to help. We chatted, I showed her my website and explained what I had in mind, and she created the most perfect little bee I could ever have hoped for. It’s completely unique, it fits my brand beautifully, and you can now see it all over my website. It’ll be on my packaging soon too. I love it so much.
I’ve also been working on new products for the store. I’ve made a few more cosmetic bags in some of my favourite fabrics, and they’re all photographed and ready to list. I’ve been having fun with stickers and bookmarks as well. My daughter asked for dragon stickers, so I made her some beautiful pastel dragons — and since she loved them so much, I figured other children might too, so they’ll be listed in the shop. My son requested insect magnetic bookmarks, and I adore watercolour designs, so I found the perfect images and turned them into lovely creepy‑crawly bookmarks. Those will be available soon as well.
That’s about it for now. I still have a bit of work to do before the official launch — I’m aiming for the last week of August — and it’s all very exciting.
