I recently tried my hand at free motion embroidery and I have fallen in love with it, its a bit like drawing, but with a sewing machine :) As I am new to the craft I started with these simple but super cute and practical Book Bands. As you know, we are alwys losing bookmarks in this house, so I need to make a steady stream of these! I also made some with a slightly smaller band size so the kids can use them in their homework planners. I got a bit addicted to making them actually and I appear to have chosen very random letters - I think I just really like the look of the 'K'! I'll add some more picture of other letter and colour combinations in the next few weeks.
These are made with vibrant glitter felt on a white felt double layered base. I stitched them all free motion so they have a really nice homemade feel and I am really happy with how the glitter felt complements the silver or gold elastic bands. The book band lenths are 15 inch for normal books, e.g. novels, and 13 inch for homework planners.
These are made to order, unless I have the specific letter and colour combination to hand, so may take 3-5 days from the date of the order before they are ready to post/be collected.
